Conan Exiles Receives Comprehensive Graphics Update

Funcom announced a comprehensive graphics update for Conan Exiles, scheduled for release on May 5, 2026. This update, known as Conan Exiles Enhanced, will transition the game world to Unreal Engine 5 and offers numerous improvements that will be available to players for free. The update includes a complete visual overhaul, promising enhanced visuals and optimized performance. The latest rendering technology will be implemented to significantly boost the graphical quality of the game.

Players can look forward to a much more realistic representation of the game world. A key feature of the update is the merging of the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah areas. Players who own the Isle of Siptah DLC will be able to teleport between both areas without restarting. This enables a seamless gaming experience on a server. Additionally, the update will revamp the user interface and improve crafting and building within the game.

The client size will be reduced from 120 GB to 40 GB, making installation and gameplay easier. The migration of save files for users of the Steam version will occur automatically to the new version. This ensures that players can transfer their progress and characters to the updated game without loss. Currently, the update is planned exclusively for the Steam version of Conan Exiles. A release for consoles and for the versions on the Epic and Microsoft Store is not currently planned but is being considered.

Funcom has already announced that players will be able to play with multiple characters simultaneously without relying on mods. This expands the possibilities for players and promotes diversity in gameplay. The announcement of the update comes nearly eight years after the original release of Conan Exiles in 2017. The developers have decided to bring the game up to date with this comprehensive update.
